Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are enjoying the ‘complete dream’ that is the arrival of their little boy.
It’s been an exciting time for the pair who welcomed their son, whose name is yet to be announced, on the 9 February.
Mum Eugenie is said to be doing ‘doing very well’ following the delivery by C-section at London’s Portland Hospital, her pregnancy was treated with extra caution and care following her corrective scoliosis surgery at the age of 12.
It’s understood women with scoliosis need to be monitored closely while in labour due to complications that may arise because of the condition.
A source told People that Eugenie ‘sounded very content’ following her little boy’s arrival adding that ‘the baby is a complete dream.’
While some people were miffed with Meghan Markle and Princess Harry announcing they are expecting their second child mere days after Eugenie and Jack’s own bundle of joy arrived into the world, it is thought Eugenie could be ‘thankful’ for the distraction.
According to Royally Obsessed podcast presenters Roberta Fiorito and Rachel Bowie, the 30-year-old is likely to be grateful for the news which is taking the spotlight off her while she recovers from her C-section surgery.
Discussing the timing of the news on the podcast, Roberta said: ‘I don’t know, it feels like if you are Eugenie it does kind of suck but I do feel like it takes the pressure off Princess Eugenie which maybe she is also thankful for.’
‘Everyone so focused on that and now she can just enjoy this time with her baby. It is not like she is under the same spotlight as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry but I do think there is a perk there.’
‘When people say Meghan and Harry have been stealing her thunder they assume that she wants all of this media attention.’
‘Her husband, Jack Brooksbank picked her up in the car and they really rushed her into the car. There was no talking to the press or waiting for anything, so I do think they wanted to remain under the radar.’
