Florence Pugh has become the latest A-lister to touch down in Ireland for filming and fans have made their joy be known on Twitter.
The Black Widow star has arrived in Ireland to begin filming on the new Netflix period-set psychological thriller The Wonder which is an adaptation of the book by the Irish author Emma Donoghue.
The British actress announced her arrival in Ireland with an appreciation for Hollywood, as in the town in Wicklow.
The Hollywood star followed that up by posting a behind-the-scenes snap in her Instagram stories from the set. Showing off her new brunette locks and brandishing a huge smile in a selfie, the 25-year-old announced: ‘First day shoot nerves. Let’s go “The Wonder”!!!’
The news has quickly spread on Twitter that the British actress has landed on our fair green isle and fans were quick to express their excitement.
While Ireland has had an influx of Hollywood heavyweights in recent times like Jane Seymour who was recently hanging out with Amy Huberman, one fan drew attention to one particular recently-departed A-lister, Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey announcing.
‘Friendship ended with patrick dempsey, florence pugh is ireland’s best friend now,’ she joked.
Many expressed their hopes that the Little Women star might venture west, with one tweeting ‘would you like to visit the west florence pugh i will send you my eircode,’ and another admitting: ‘If #FlorencePugh comes anywhere near the west of Ireland I’m on the first bus/ public transport to where she is.’
