Well-known and much-loved local healthcare practitioner, Dr Wesley Maistry was recently laid to rest after succumbing to Covid-19.

His parents, Dr Neville and Grace Maistry spoke about his legacy and how they intend to honour his memory through the newly-founded ‘Dr Wesley Maistry Foundation’ which will focus on reaching out to the frail, ill and destitute members of the community.

Since his passing, Dr Wesley’s family have received messages of support and love from the community. Here are a few messages to the family, in tribute to his memory:

Avashnee Maghoo:  “Hi Grace please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing on of Wesley. Words fail me in describing how wonderful your boys are. God bless you always and may his soul rest in peace.”

We were terribly shocked and broken to hear of Son Wesley’s passing. May His Soul Rest In Peace. A great loss to this Earth but a great Soul in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. We give God all the glory for the strength and peace He blessed you and sister Grace together with the family during this most painful time. May our Lord Jesus continue to keep His hand of peace over you, sister and the family for the rest of your life. We love you all and look forward to meeting you soon.”

There are no comforting words for your loss of Wesley.May you find peace and comfort at the Feet of our Saviour Jesus Christ. We are praying for you and your family. And we are praying for Bradley. All our love my sweetest Grace. ” 

Nikkita and Sumeeth Singh: “Aunty Grace my deepest condolences to you and Uncle Neville on your loss. There are no words that can explain this. I am praying for the family and for Brads full recovery in Jesus name please be strong.”

Felicity Govender: “My dearest sister, heartfelt condolences to you and family. Praying for the Comfort of the Holy Spirit to envelope you all during this time of overwhelming ,sorrow and grief.”

Tanya Daniel: “Hello My Dear Sister thinking of you and the family.I know how you feeling and its not easy.I share your pain but I pray God would make you strong and to Pastor and the family. Wishing Dr Bradley a restful recovery and we got to look for God to give us the strength. My Alisha was so close to Dr Wes and she feels she lost another brother.”

Shimla Algoo: “Deepest condolences Aunty Grace to u and ur family..no words can even comfort u during this time of ur loss…we are heartbroken…i pray the lord gives u all the strength that u need to get over this…we are going to miss him so much he was a gem of a person…i pray that Brad recovers soon be strong and know that he is in a better place…we luv u guys.”
